What a pleasure it was sitting down and talking to Mike Epps. Mike was telling me about the latest project that he just rapped filming, a remake of the 1976 music filled motion picture “Sparkle.” The remake stars “Jordan Sparks'”          “Mike Epps” and in her return to the big screen “Whitney Houston.”

This project reunites director Akil with Epps, who starred in the helmer’s wedding pic “Jumping the Broom.” That pic grossed more than $37 million domestically earlier this year. Epps, best known for his comedic turns in “The Hangover” and “The Honeymooners,” has been showcasing his dramatic chops of late: He recently wrapped the indie thriller “Vipaka,” which stars Forest Whitaker and Anthony Mackie. Next big thing here in Indianapolis for Mike is the “Mike Epps & Friends” comedy show and concert Feb.12th,2012 at Conseco, with Snoop Dog, Whiz Khalifa, and maybe Ice Cube will be in the house.
