1. Tell you are sorry in an honest and earnest manner. Don’t just apologize for the sake of it because the idea never goes across and your partner may not be convinced. Hence, sound like you really understand you have made a mistake.

3. Respect your partner’s feelings. Without the feeling of mutual respect, there is less chance for the relationship to long last. Burn your ego for a while and take the first step.

4. Buy gifts and take them out for a romantic lunch. Revive the old memories. May be you could gift her something that she had always wanted to have but never got a chance. May be you could book a movie or a simple walk would do.

5. Place sorry notes in a few places where your partner will surely see. Write in each of the notes how much she means to you. You could use flowers as well.

6. Surprise them. After an argument, sometimes an unexpected surprise is what makes partners forget the bitter fight. Plan on a holiday or buy something expensive.

7. After apologizing, try not to discuss the argument even when the mood is light. There is no point in discussing the incident of a spoilt evening and mess the good one.

8. Talk and talk a lot. Don’t stay quiet and wait for things to turn into normal. If you have made a mistake, admit it.
