Dwyane Wade Reveals He Had 40% of His Kidney Removed After Doctors Found Cancerous Tumor

Former NBA player Dwyane Wade revealed on his podcast that he was diagnosed with cancer over a year ago and had to undergo kidney surgery, losing part of his kidney in the process. Wade, who had not been getting regular physicals post-retirement, decided to get a checkup due to his father’s battle with prostate cancer. The tumor on his kidney was found during a full-body scan, leading to the surgery in December 2023.
