Plainfield Fatal Crash

PLAINFIELD, Ind. — Police are looking for a man who was likely involved in a chase that led to two deaths last month.

You may remember an incident outside of a Long John Silver’s restaurant last month. It started after police arrived in response to a “person down,” and an argument ensued with people in the parking lot.

Officers say Bryan Goodmon then drove away from the scene, so a chase began. It soon ended when a pursuing officer hit an uninvolved car at an intersection, killing Barbara and Bennie Williams.

By the time police found the car that had led the chase, no one was inside it.

Now, Goodmon is wanted for resisting law enforcement causing death, among other crimes. He is considered a “career criminal” who could be armed, and is described as a 6’1″, 265-pound man.

The officer involved in the initial chase was placed on administrative leave.
