On the anniversary of Michael Jackson leaving us so suddenly, I want to pay tribute and show love to one of the greatest entertainers of all times.  Michael didn’t simply make great music, he changed lives!  And for Baby Boomers, like me, who grew up with him, his spirit, message, music, inspiration, and strength will live FOREVER in our hearts.  This poem is dedicated to ‘THE KING OF POP’

Michael my dear, we will never part,

Always near With a Child’s Heart.

I Want You Back in so many ways,

But the world will never forget all The Love You Saved.

You were a Dancing Machine and always did it right,

The entire world loved you, no matter if we were Black or White.

You Are Not Alone, Marvin, Sam, & Luther are there,

Sharing that Corner of The Sky with tender loving care.

We Never Can Say Goodbye, even though I know it’s real,

But I will never forget The Way You Make Me Feel!

Maybe Tomorrow my heart won’t feel so blue,

Because I know I can always Rock With You.

From the early days when I was a Pretty Young Thing,

I have loved every song, especially Billie Jean.

I Wanna Be Where You Are, but I know it’s not my time,

All I can do is write about your songs with rhymes.

The Man in The Mirror was a beautiful spirit,

If ever there was trouble, your advice would be to Beat It.

Michael, my friend, I will always care,

And when I’m laid to rest, just look over your shoulder because

I’LL BE THERE!
