Sanders: College Student Debt Should Be Cancelled

You can hear the roar of approval from college graduates-to-be everywhere when  Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders is rolling out a plan to wipe out student loan debt. The Vermont Senator said an entire generation of young Americans should not suffer from a lifetime of debt for seeking an education, something he considers a human right in America. Under Sanders’ plan, one-point-six-trillion dollars in debt would be erased for nearly 45 million Americans by a tax on Wall Street financial transactions. Sanders said the American people were responsible for bailing out Wall Street during the 2008 financial crisis.
