The Trump Administration is tightening travel restrictions for Cuba. According to the Treasury Department, U.S. cruise ships will not be allowed to stop in Cuba starting Wednesday. The rule change also eliminates group educational and cultural trips known as “people to people” travel to the island. Additionally, the Treasury said it would also deny permission for private and corporate aircraft and boats. Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin says the restrictions come as Cuba continues to play a “destabilizing role” in the Western Hemisphere.
