Magic Johnson is resigning as the Lakers President of Basketball Operations. The Lakers legend cited that his job kept him from being an ambassador for the game and that he wants to return to what he was doing before his current position. Johnson also said that he hasn’t informed Los Angeles controlling owner and president Jeanie Buss of his decision yet. Can only imagine the look on her face when she got the news. So it looks like during the upcoming NBA playoffs the newest soap opera, “As The Lakers Turn” will be a constant with why Magic REALLY quit.
