The skies are cloudy and rain is expected through-out the day, but temps should be near 50 degrees.  Christmas break has started for some schools, but not all; so if your kids are out, get them out of the house with fun events to do.  Or just get you and your friends out for wine tastings near you.  Check out some of the events going on today listed below.

  • Let the kids enjoy BREAKFAST WITH SANTA AT CONNER PRAIRIE where they can decorate cookies with Santa and so much more.  Then stay for the GINGERBREAD VILLAGE where you can see a variety of gingerbread houses created by amateurs and professionals.  Details are online at connerprairie.org
  • Be a part of CHRISTKINDL VILLAGE AT ST. JOHN CATHOLIC CHURCH off of Georgia St. it’s a 3-day German-themed event with indoor ice rink, music, outdoor activities, vendors and gifts, kids area, alpine slide, sports arena, caroling, luminary walk, and more.   • Not near Madison County?  Head over to MALLOW RUN WINERY in Johnson County for the HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE.  Complimentary wine tasting (including holiday wines Reindeer Red & Winter White), all while you shop the selection of merchandise and festive gift baskets, plus holiday tunes and a joyous atmosphere.  Then stay for the live music through-out the day with different bands.  To see whose playing go to mallowrun.com
