What’s Up in and around your City

The sun is not up, that’s for sure. It’s just a little sprinkle of rain out there, but that doesn’t mean that everything stops for a little rain. There are still plenty of things for you, your family and friends to venture out to today. Check some of the out below:

Head over to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the Red Bull Air Race. It was supposed to start at 8am, but there may be a delay due to the weather. We may be used to cars and motorcycles on the speedway, but now we have some of the top pilots from around the world here to navigate through the course set up at the Motor Speedway. Be a part of GUTS 2017, and join AIGA Indy on Sunday, October 15 at 1pm for a FUN-draising pumpkin carving contest to benefit our local Make-A-Wish children. It’s open to anyone who wants to show off their pumpkin-carving skills and will be held at DeveloperTown. For additional details, go to GutsIndy.com

The Fall Harvest Festival is going strong at Waterman’s Family Farm where the family can enjoy hayrides to the pumpkin patch, pumpkin-eating dinosaur, pony rides, mazes, food and music on the weekends. There are special family prices and more information available at watermansfamilyfarm.com/
Stoneycreek Farm in Hamilton County has hayrides, good food, rubber ducky races, zipline, haunted house, pumpkin train, farm animals, and more going on now until Oct. 31 as part of the 45th Annual Pumpkin Harvest Festival. Prices available at stonycreekfarm.net
Family Fun Days are back at Beasley’s Orchard in Danville with live music, corn maze, hayrides, barnyard bonanza, and more, open daily thru Oct. 31. Details available at beasleys-orchard.com
Last day for the Indianapolis Mega Adoption Event at the State Fairgrounds. Over 1,000 dogs and cats available for adoption in the South Pavilion, Oct. 14-15: Sat/Sun, 12-6 PM each day.
