Good Day to you…
The Indianapolis Colts are moving on without veteran linebacker D’Qwell Jackson. The team released Jackson, who spent three seasons in Indy. The move clears some salary cap space as Jackson was set to make $5.5 million in the final year of his current contract in 2017. The 33-year-old posted 78 tackles and one sack in 12 games this past season. He was suspended the final four games of 2016 for performance-enhancing drugs.
The Pacers hit the road tonight looking to bounce back from Wednesday’s loss to Cleveland as they’re in the nation’s capital to visit the Wizards. Until the meeting with the Cav’s, the Pacers were riding a seven-game winning streak. They are 29-and-23 on the season, while the Wizards are 31-and-21. The Pacers will have a busy weekend. They’re right back here in Indy on Saturday hosting the Milwaukee Bucks. Tonight’s tip is at 8 p.m. Eastern.
