Reports out of Hollywood say that beloved “Star Wars” actress and author, Carrie Fisher, has been cremated. TMZ and “Entertainment Tonight” both are reporting the ashes of the 60-year-old actress best known as ‘Princess Leia,’ will be buried next to her legendary mother, actress/singer/dancer Debbie Reynolds’ coffin at Forest Lawn cemetery in Los Angeles. The mother-daughter duo overcame obstacles in life to be infamously close.
Fisher’s family will hold a private memorial service today. She died last week, four days after suffering a heart attack on a flight from London to Los Angeles. The Oscar-nominated Reynolds died in the hospital the next day. Reynolds suffered a stroke while planning her daughter’s funeral arrangements at her son, Todd Fisher’s, home.
Fisher is survived by her daughter, actress Billie Lourde and sister, actress Joely Fisher, in addition to her aforementioned brother.
