President-elect Donald Trump is questioning House Republican moves to severely weaken the independent Office of Congressional Ethics. In a tweet, Trump suggested the House has more important things to worry about, including healthcare and tax reform. At the same time, Trump said the ethics office may be unfair. The House is set to vote on a rule today that essentially guts the ethics office. Supporters say it will give lawmakers more control over internal investigations. The rule is opposed by GOP leaders such as Speaker of the House Paul Ryan and House Democrats.
