@kwellscomm  TLCNaptown.com  Weather & School Delays/Closures  —

The drive to work on this Thursday is going to be slick and frigidly cold. The National Weather Service is including Indianapolis in a Wind Chill Advisory that stretches until at least 11 a.m. Forecasters say cold and icy roads are likely to be problematic today. Make sure your children are layered up for their journey to school today. Also, give yourself extra drive time to arrive safely where ever you’re going today.

Some schools are following that advice today and they’re giving buses and parents extra time to get students to school safely with several delays and a few closures in the outlying areas.

Some of the schools are delayed for two hours this morning include: Indiana College Preparatory School which is Closed for Students and the staff is on a two hour delay and the Indiana Math and Science Academy (South) is also on a two hour delay.

You may want to check before you send the kids to the bus stop.

Thursday’s weather: A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect until at least 11 a.m. The National Weather Service says the “feels like” temperature will likely reach at least ten-below.  Plenty of sunshine. High: 13 degrees.
