On today’s Trending on “Access Indy with Kim Wells”…

During this week which is the week leading to the Indy 500 race, downtown Indianapolis pedestrians are immersed in an Indy 500-themed light show on Georgia Street, featuring the sounds of the Indy 500 and some of the most memorable radio calls from 100 years of “the Greatest Spectacle in Racing.”  This fun experience is running thru May 29, in the evenings at three times: 9, 9:30 & 10 p.m. Georgia Street is on the southern end of Circle Center Mall and it stretches from Pennsylvania Street bordered on the east by Bankers Life Fieldhouse to Capitol Avenue bordered by the Indiana Convention Center.

On the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend…that’s May 28, beginning at Noon—It’s the  500 Festival Parade. Celebrities, spectacular floats, marching bands and more are sure to dazzle spectators this year. 111 Monument Circle is the official address, then the parade winds through downtown for about an hour and a half.

November Project is a free fun fitness movement that started in Boston and is now sweeping the nation including right here in Indy. November Project Indy is part fitness, part fun, part community and 100% crazy! Join the organizers for a good workout (you’ll sweat, need to catch your breath, then do it all over again) for smiles, hugs and more while working out. The results should keep you smiling. It’s Free. It’s on Wednesday mornings, from 6:15 a.m. to 7 a.m., downtown on the North side of the War Memorial at 431 N. Michigan Street. Just show up before you head to work to get a great workout to get your day pumpin’!  For more info call 317-232-7615.

If morning workouts aren’t your thing…maybe getting moving on Wednesday evenings suits you better. That’s when Common Ground meets for URBAN LINE DANCING!!  Have fun while you get your heart pumping, burn some calories, and work off some stress by learning the latest Urban Line Dances with COMMON GROUND! They’ll provide the step-by-step instructions to keep you in-step with the rest of the dancers. The organizers say you’re guaranteed to have a great time! They meet on Wednesdays, from 6:30-8 p.m. at Friendship Westside Center for Excellence, that’s 3131 W. 16th St. For more info call 317-423-9960.
