“Straight Outta Compton” Wins Best True Story At MTV Awards

To paraphrase Ice Cube, “It was a Good Weekend” for the legendary hip hop group N.W.A.
The group was not only inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but also won an MTV movie award. Though the band wasn’t present at the ceremony, the stars of the film accepted the True Story award, including Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell and O’Shea Jackson Jr. At the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Kendrick Lamar attended to induct N.W.A.
