Manning told a story of when he was quarterback of the Indianapolis Colts and visited the Baltimore Ravens. After the game, former Baltimore Colts quarterback Johnny Unitas met him, shook his hand and said “Stay at it.
“I have stayed at it,” Manning said, his voice breaking. “I’ve stayed at it for 18 years.”
After two Super Bowl wins and countless broken records, the soon-to-be 40-year-old quarterback’s time in the NFL is over.
