Ebony’s “Power 100” list is out.  The magazine released their coveted list Wednesday, in an effort to honor leaders in the African American community within the fields of arts, politics, education and community activism.  D’Angelo and Prince were some of the list’s main mentions, celebrated for using music as a tool for political activism.  Kendrick Lamar and Janelle Monae were also included, for their respective songs, “Alright” and “Hell You Talmbout.”  The tracks have become emblems in the Black Lives Matter movement.  In the same way, John Legend and J. Cole were also included. EBONY_Finallogo
