It has been rumored for months that The Weeknd has been working on a new album due out sometime this year. The timing couldn’t be more perfect to follow up his 50 Shades hit, “Earned It.”
In a recent interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 radio, Ed Sheeran recaps a drunken night he partied at The Weeknd’s house. Apparently The Weeknd asked Sheeran to come back the next day to work on a song together, and that’s the point in the story when Sheeran seemed to spill the beans. Sheeran told Lowe, “In my head I’m like, ‘The Weeknd doesn’t want to write a song!’ The Weeknd doesn’t want to work with anyone. He’s got one feature on his album, which is Kanye West. He doesn’t want to do that.”
Is Kanye really on the album, or will a track featuring Sheeran make it on the album? I’m sure we are all anxious to see what The Weeknd hits us with next.
