A new book about Whitney Houston is making some shocking revelations about the late star’s troubled personal life. The unauthorized biography from Ian Halperin is titled “Whitney & Bobbi Kristina: The Deadly Price Of Fame,” . One excerpt is about a supposed extortion attempt that occurred at the height of Whitney’s fame in 1992, on the day before the premiere of “The Bodyguard.” Halperin claims a Chicago lawyer threatened to expose details about Whitney’s long-rumored romantic relationship with her assistant Robyn Crawford. The biographer says the lawyers demanded 250-thousand dollars to keep quiet and the matter was settled by Whitney’s father.
