Lauryn Hill will receive special recognition at this year’s ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards. She’s slated to get the Golden Note Award for her extraordinary achievements in music. The eight-time Grammy winner will also take the stage at the event. She joins past Golden Note winners Pharrell Williams, Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder and Dr. Dre. According to “Billboard,” ASCAP President Paul Williams praises Hill for her ability to “push boundaries and capture the humanity that surrounds us.” The ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards will take place on June 25th at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles.
