Angie Stone’s Daughter Speaks Out After Physical Assault by Mother

UPDATED: Angie Stone’s daughter Diamond Stone is not staying quiet regarding the singer’s assault on her.

In a post on her Facebook page, Diamond is speaking out regarding the incident as she vows to make her version of what happened known.

“People are so quick to pass judgment but never really know the full story,” Diamond wrote. “Never uphold people in wrong no matter who they are I’m crushed but I ain’t dead so for the people that praise “her” keep right on just know that it ain’t over. You so big and bad but had to use a weapon on me in a fight that you started. You giggled on the inside because you thought I was going to jail too.?#?Wrong? I’m sick of putting up these fronts and because you took shit to another level I will too. I love all my family but I cannot take anymore abuse so I’m separating myself from it all. I pray God heals us from this but from where I sit there is no turning back cause if you ain’t wit me you against me. You so worried about to media and the press but I promise you this I will not rest until my story is heard!”

In addition to her message, Diamond posted photos of the teeth that fell out of her mouth from the assault as well as the metal plank Angie Stone used to striker her. Media sources report the singer, who is charged with domestic aggravated assault after being arrested, is in jail following the altercation.

The R&B Divas: Atlanta star was been arrested and charged with domestic violence. The victim is surprising – it’s her 30-year-old daughter, Diamond. According to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution website, the two had a fight at the home they share in Atlanta.

AJC.com reports:

According to a DeKalb County police incident report, Angie Stone said Diamond Stone hit her in the face with closed fists first. Diamond Stone and Blondy Chisolm, a family friend who witnessed the Monday night altercation, told police they were not sure who threw the first blow.

The spat, according to Diamond Stone, started when Angie Stone entered her daughter’s room, demanded that she clean it up and ordered her to control her children, who were running around the singer’s Rogers Lake Road home half naked.

“Ms. Diamond Stone then went on to state that Ms. Angie Stone started (getting) in her face, telling her she needed to leave because she is tired (of) her,” police said in the report. “Ms. Diamond Stone then stated her and Ms. Angie Stone started to argue, and that’s when a physical altercation started to occur.”

Angie Stone, 53, told police she did not know she hit her daughter with a metal stand.

“Once she realized this,” police said in the report, “she quickly put the stand down and attempted to get away from Ms. Diamond Stone. Ms. Angie Stone then stated while she tried to get away, Ms. Diamond Stone continued to come after her as if to strike her again but stated that Ms. Blondy Chisolm came to break up the fight.”

Diamond Stone shared her version of the events via her Facebook page where she not only posted an account of the fight, she posted pictures of her injury.

Stone was arrested in Atlanta in 2011 for speeding and driving on a suspended license while on her way to church.
