“American Idol” is reportedly saying goodbye to its results show. Host Ryan Seacrest revealed to “Billboard” that Fox plans to go with a “one-night” format for the upcoming season of live shows. Seacrest says fans will no longer hear him say “coming up” or “wait ’til tomorrow night,” but that the changes “will be exciting.” The host also teases other shake-ups to come, including ones that will allow judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. to spend more personal, one-on-one time with the contestants.
Season 14 of “American Idol” kicks off starting January 7th of Fox.
