Joe Budden now knows not to show up late for court. The “New York Post’s” “Page Six” reports that on Wednesday the rapper was two-hours late for a hearing in his domestic violence case. Budden blamed the tardiness on the gridlock he ran into traveling to New York from his home in New Jersey and even told reporters after the hearing that “traffic sucks” in the city. But Judge Denise Dominguez wasn’t buying the excuse and firmly told the rapper that many other people who live in Jersey often manage to make it to court on time. Budden is accused of obstructing the breathing of his ex-girlfriend during an incident outside of a New York nightclub in August. The “Love & Hip Hop” star was also charged with grand larceny and robbery for taking the woman’s cell phone. He’s due back in court on March 4th.
