Former Death Row Records CEO, Suge Knight and comedian Katt Williams have been arrested amid reports they stole a camera for a member of the paparazzi.

Knight was taken into custody on Wednesday in Las Vegas, while Williams was arrested while appearing in court on a separate assault case.

The pair have been accused of taking a camera belonging to an unnamed female photographer in Beverly Hills back in September. Knight and Williams have each been charged with one count of robbery. Police spokesman Sgt. Max Subin tells the Los Angeles Times the Knight and Williams chased the photographer down an alley after she attempted to take photos of them leaving a recording studio. She allegedly suffered minor injuries when Williams grabbed her camera “forcibly”.

Although the report was filed in early September, local police tell the newspaper that detectives have spent weeks building the case to obtain the arrest warrants, calling it an “ongoing, rapidly evolving investigation”.

The alleged theft could land both men behind bars for several years – Williams faces up to seven years in prison, while Knight faces 30 years due to a prior conviction for assault with a deadly weapon.

According to TMZ.com, Knight and Williams were also arrested following a fight at a Los Angeles nightclub hours after Williams was released from jail in 2012.

Knight is still recovering after he was shot six times in the stomach and arm while partying at a Los Angeles nightclub before the MTV Video Music Awards in August.
