World Music Awards 2014 - Inside Ceremony In Monte-Carlo

Seems as if Mariah Carey is taking aim at her estranged husband Nick Cannon by changing the lyrics to a song during a concert in Japan on Saturday, suggesting his infidelity was the cause of their break-up.

The couple separated earlier this year, after six years of marriage, and although Carey has yet to speak publicly about the split, she allegedly aired her feelings while performing a cover of Billie Holiday’s cheating track Don’t Explain on the opening night of her Elusive Chanteuse World Tour in Tokyo.

In audio footage of the show, Carey is clearly heard replacing the line,

“And I know you cheat/Right or wrong, don’t matter” with the words, “I know you cheated, motherf**ker”.

Carey’s Tokyo show hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons – fans took to social networking sites at the weekend to complain about the singer’s performance after she struggled to hit the high notes throughout the gig.

The superstar is due to continue touring Southeast Asia and Australia until mid-November.
