Aaliyah’s family vows to stop the production of the Lifetime Biopic.
The flick is slated to air this summer on Lifetime with 17-year-old Disney actress Zendaya as Aaliyah; who tragically died August 25, 2001 with 8 others in a plane crash in the Bahamas.
TMZ reports, that allegedly, the family is upset that no one from Lifetime reached out to them about the movie.
Barry Hankerson, Aaliyah’s Uncle and former manager says the family plans to prevent Lifetime from using any of Aaliyah’s music in the film. They have also hired a lawyer to block the film from airing.
