R&B bad boy Chris Brown has the best legal team in the entertainment business because every time it seems Brown has run out of options to stay out of prison, his lawyers find a new strategy to work. In the latest development of the Chris Brown legal saga, Breezy’s legal team is trying to settle his Washington D.C. assault case with a fat check to the victim in order to gain Brown’s freedom.

According to sources, Brown’s attorney Mark Geragos has reached out to the legal team of the victim in the D.C. assault looking to settle out of court. The victim claims Breezy beat him up so bad he broke his nose. If convicted, Brown could face four years in prison because that conviction would spell a probation violation in the Rihanna assault case. In effort to avoid the four years in prison, Brown wants the victim to take a large settlement in exchange for the victim to inform the prosecution that he no longer wants to move forward with a criminal case. By telling the prosecution he doesn’t want to move forward with the criminal case, thew prosecutors are likely to drop the case altogether.

The prosecution of the D.C. assault know about the offer Geragos made to the victim. Actually, the settlement is allegedly almost completed which would result in Brown being released from jail by the end of the week or early next week.

We shall se if Brown becomes a free man by next week. If so, we hope he can finally keep himself out of trouble.
