12 Years a Slave is picking up Oscar momentum as it won Best Film and and Chiwetel Ejiofor winning best actor at the British Academy Film Awards in London Sunday. Steve McQueen missed out on the best director award, which instead went to Mexican Alfonso Cuaron for Gravity.
