All eyes have been on Gabrielle Union and her husband-to-be Dwyane Wade ever since news dropped that he fathered another child while the two were “on a break”. As they start planning their wedding, Gabrielle Union told late-night talk show host Arsenio Hall that she “insisted” on getting a prenup after learning her lesson from her previous marriage to former NFL star Chris Howard.
“The biggest difference between this and last marriage will be a prenup, at my insistence. When you have your own stuff, you don’t need to worry about anybody else’s stuff. Everyone should go into the relationship knowing I’m here for you and you’re here for me. The reality is I’ve never seen Dwyane balance a checkbook so I gotta protect my stuff. It’s the wave of the future, protecting your stuff.”
