Unfortunately, this is true. Nominations for the Golden Globes were released Thursday. Even though “Lee Daniels’ The Butler” movie is now back in theaters for the holidays because it did so well, the film and its main co-stars, Oprah Winfrey and Forest Whitaker received ZERO nominations for the Golden Globe Awards.

But that’s OK. The movie snagged three nominations for the SAG (Screen Actors Guild) awards including Oprah for outstanding performance by a female actor in a supporting role and Forest Whitaker for outstanding performance by male actor in a leading role. The film  also received a nod for outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture.

Another shocker is that Fruitvale Station didn’t get any Golden Globe nominations after winning the Sundance Grand Jury prize.
