Dreamgirls was supposed to be Beyoncé’s big break in Hollywood, but it was her co-star, Jennifer Hudson, who had the breakout role and went on to win the Academy Award and become the hot new it-girl in Hollywood. Since then, rumors have circulating that Beyonce and Jennifer were feuding over J Hud’s success. Hudson recently set the record straight on an episode of “Watch What Happens Live.”
During the show’s “Plead The Fifth” segment, Hudson was asked to answer three questions and could opt to plead the fifth in answering just one of them. Hudson chose to answer them all, including the question of whether she and Beyoncé really were feuding over sharing the spotlight.
“There [were] never any rifts at all. That is still my girl to this day. I love her. We’ve always been good,” Hudson claimed.
