Alan Thicke is one proud parent. The actor, best known for his role on the sitcom “Growing Pains,” tells “People” he’s getting “a good laugh” out of introducing himself as “Robin Thicke’s father” now that his son’s single “Blurred Lines” has become such a hit. The elder Thicke says he’s more than happy to be known that way, adding that Robin has “raised the bar” and “the family brand” to “unimaginable heights.” Alan actually has a small role in his son’s latest release, having co-written a track on it called “Ain’t No Hat 4 That.” He jokes that it’s obvious he was involved, as it’s the only song on the album “without any cussing in it!”

Alan does have one problem with Robin’s sudden resurgence into popularity, saying he has to share his son “with the rest of the world now” and he’s “barely [his] anymore.”
