Former Lead Singer of the Spinners Dies

Bobbie Smith, the former lead singer of the Spinners, died this weekend in Orlando. In a statement released by the manger of the Spinners, it noted Smith, 76, had been diagnosed with lung cancer in November and passed away due to flu and pneumonia complications.
As the first lead singer of the Spinners, Smith lead the band to release hits such as “That’s What Girls Are Made For,” “Detroit Spinners,” “I’ll Be Around” and “Could It Be I’m Falling In Love.”
