NeNe Leakes is very busy these days, but she took time to hang out with guest host Ross Mathews on “Chelsea Lately.” There, she talked about her once-failed, soon-to-be resurrected marriage and what went wrong the first time.
Leakes and her ex-husband Gregg were together for 17 years before they got divorced. Since then, they’ve grown and evolved as people and have come back together. They’re soon to be remarried.
Or perhaps, as Leakes explained here, it was Gregg that needed to grow and evolve. “He was the breadwinner,” she said. “And then when I became a breadwinner, I feel like Gregg wasn’t receiving that well.”
“I cut him loose, let him go and adjust, then he came back,” Leakes said. She told Us Magazine that she’d never even wanted to divorce Gregg, but that she did it to teach him a lesson.
