Every wonder if the people you see working around you are actually working hard or if they are just really good at looking like they are working hard? Belive it or not there are some people who have perfected the art of looking busy at work without really working. Let’s be clear, I am NOT in any way suggesting you actually take any of these steps, however just knowing what to look for may give you some insight to what your boss is doing, or not doing.
- Know what the standards are.
- Open some of the applications you normally use for work and have them visible on your computer’s desktop
- Always, always carry a backup prop
- Create the illusion of furious activity whenever possible
