The say you should live your life with no regrets. But is that possible? Regret is a sense of loss, disappointment or dissatisfaction. It is a feeling of remorse for an act or omission. In general, a person who lives with regret always thinks of what he or she could have done differently. Living a life of regret means turning those small things into things much larger than they should ever become. In a way, living a life of regret is like living in the past. Staying in a place that keeps you from moving forward because you must hold on to that thing that you regret.

Having regret is normal, but the key is to not let regret control you emotionally. Holding on to regret can cause all kind of problems, worry and stress that can before you know it, turn into physical ailments.

Some things that you can do to help avoid regret are to;

1. Think Things Through – List the good and bad thngs when weighing a decision. Take an assessment and formulate a plan.

2. Accept Events – Some things are out of your control, accept that. There are things we cannot change. That time machine hasn’t been created yet, except the actions that you’ve taken, and the consequences that may follow.

3. Be Decisive – Once you’ve made up your mind, let it go. Make an informed decision and live with it.

4. Don’t Have A Loser’s Attitude – Drop the “Would-a…Should-a…Could-a. Your level of stress will drop way down if you just have a winning attitude about the decisions that you make.

5. Take Action – If something is important to you, don’t fret over it–do something about it.
