Prime Day Is Poppin’—But So Are Porch Pirates: Here’s How to Protect Your Packages

Listen, sis—Amazon Prime Day is that girl. From tech deals to beauty steals, your cart is probably as full as your heart. But while you’re stacking your blessings, let’s make sure your packages stay safe from sticky fingers. Because porch pirates? They are lurking.

Here are some tips to keep your deliveries where they belong—inside your house.

1. Get the App & Track Your Orders
Download the Amazon app and turn on notifications. That way, you’ll know the moment your package lands—and can scoop it up before someone else does.

2. Use Amazon Lockers or Secure Pick-Up Spots
If you’re not home during the day, try sending your packages to an Amazon Hub Locker or a nearby pick-up location. Easy, safe, and stress-free.

3. Invest in a Doorbell Camera
A Ring camera or similar setup not only records any suspicious activity but also lets folks know you’re watching. Porch pirates don’t want to be caught on candid camera.

4. Ask a Neighbor or Friend for Help
Got a neighbor who works from home or a friend nearby? You can ask them to grab your package if you’re not around. That’s what village life is all about.

5. Schedule Deliveries Strategically
Some shipping services let you choose the day or time frame. Use that to your advantage—especially if you know you’ll be home.

Prime Tip: Spread the word. Share this with your group chat. We’re saving coins, not losing packages.

Remember, sis—you worked hard to grab those deals. Make sure you actually get them.
