Suge Knight Says Tupac’s Ashes Were Smoked After ’96 Death
Tupac Shakur’s friend Suge Knight claimed in a recent interview that he paid $1 million to have the rapper cremated immediately after his death so that his ashes could be rolled into a blunt and smoked by his closest friends and family. Knight said that he did not partake in the ritual due to being on probation. The decision to cremate Shakur was made by his mother, Afeni Shakur, who demanded it just moments after his death, despite Shakur’s previous wishes to not be cremated. Knight recalled the intense pressure he faced from Shakur’s mother to carry out the cremation, ultimately paying a large sum of money to make it happen.
