Larry King is recovering after he suffered a heart attack last Thursday.  TMZ reports the legendary talk-host suffered the heart attack in Los Angeles while getting ready to go to the hospital for an angiogram.  The entertainment website says King was rushed to the hospital, where doctors opened up an artery that had collapsed and inserted several stents.  The 85-year-old talk is in the cardiac intensive care unit and expected to be released once he is healthier.

Update: Studio Says King Did Not Have Heart Attack

Larry King’s production studio says the tv-talk show legend did not suffer a heart attack. TMZ reported earlier today King suffered the heart attack in Los Angeles last Thursday while getting ready to go to the hospital for an angiogram. King’s studio, Ora TV, said in a statement that report is incorrect. It says King experienced angina — which is a reduction in the flow of blood to the heart — last Thursday right before he was scheduled for an angioplasty. Doctors in Los Angeles successfully inserted stents to reopen a previous bypass from 1987. The statement says King is in good spirits. He is still in the hospital but expects to be released soon.
