President Barack Obama is attempting to get to the bottom of claims that the 2016 general election was hacked by foreign governments by ordering a full review. Obama’s counter-terrorism adviser Lisa Monaco told a breakfast meeting on Friday that the President expects to see a report before he leaves office on January 20.

U.S. intelligence officials have accused the Russian government of being behind hacks of Democratic Party computer systems. President-elect Donald Trump has expressed skepticism about Russian involvement.
