A fatal shooting in the Muncie area this morning is keeping homicide investigators busy. A woman was found dead this morning with a gunshot wound to the head in the 3600 block of Fleetwood Drive in Muncie. What we know from various media reports is that Muncie Police are questioning a man and a woman at this time. One of them is the victim’s relative. Delaware County Sheriff’s Department wants anyone with info to give them a call.

An investigation is underway on the city’s northeast side after a deadly shooting. Shots rang out Wednesday night at the Blackburn Terrace Apartments on Brouse Avenue. The name of the victim has not been officiallyreleased, but police believe he was in his 20s. Police have not identified a possible suspect.

An Indianapolis man is accused of pretending to be a cop during the U.S. Conference of Mayors. Police say Gary Cooper ordered people to vacate the J-W Marriott this past weekend or face arrest. The state’s credit rating is stable and doing just fine. Governor Mike Pence has announced this morning that Fitch Ratings has reaffirmed Indiana’s AAA credit rating for its responsible management of state budgets, revenue, and public debt.  Indiana has held AAA ratings—the highest possible– with all three credit agencies, Standard and Poor’s, Moody’s and Fitch Ratings, since April of 2010. The state uses the rating as a sign to Hoosiers and businesses already here in Indiana or either thinking of moving here that this state is economically strong, stable and worthy of investment…and for workers…that they keep more of their earnings.
