Super star vocalist Miki Howard‘s story is coming to TV One on Sunday, June 12 at 7 p.m. ET. This is the network’s first-ever biopic inspired by its signature series Unsung.
She talks to the Tom Joyner Morning Show about the biopic and her advice for young women hoping to make it in show business.
On Teyonah Parris’ portrayal of her:
“She’s wonderful. She’s a Julliard graduate and she gives a performance that is Oscar-worthy.”
What she wants others to learn from her story:
“I just glad I came through it and that I’m here. I really hope that they see it and know that you can overcome it. My deep belief in God are the things that woke me up. I’m blessed beyond belief.”
