Grammy award-winning soul artist Anthony Hamilton returns with the musical formula that fans have clamored for since 2003. What I’m Feelin’ is Hamilton’s ninth studio album, but the labor of love is still as fresh as the first time we heard him on the critically acclaimed album, Comin From Where I’m From.

The record’s lead single Amen, tells the story of falling in love with a woman who is metaphorically heaven.

He talks to the Tom Joyner Morning Show about his journey to finding love after divorce, going on tour with Fantasia and his new deal with Cracker Barrel (fitting right?).

On teaming up with Fantasia:

“Whoever opens, the other is going to be watching. We love each other like that. I think it’s going to be a no shoes requirement. It’s the return of Al Green and Aretha Franklin. It’s little Green and little Franklin.”

So whats is he feelin’ nowadays?:

“I was married for a long time and it was a beautiful 10 years and we have three kids and I’m excited about the new chapter in my life. I’m looking for a new happy. We traveled the world together and had a good time.”

On the biggest surprise hit of his career:

Best of Me. It was a really simple and beautiful song. I didn’t know it was going to take off of on radio and steppin’.”
