Barack Obama  will be making an appearance on Jerry Seinfeld’s web series, “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.”

Usually the show features fellow comedians riding around with Jerry in vintage cars, so Barack will be an exception.

When asked why he chose POTUS, the stand-up legend explained, “He’s done some really good work as a monologist at those correspondents dinners — that’s how he qualifies to be on the show,” he told The Washington Post.

The whole setup happened when Obama revealed Seinfeld was one of his favorite comedians. So the show reached out to him, thinking it was a stretch.

“This was an opportunity to pull back the curtain for Americans on life in the White House,” the White House said in a statement. “The president and Jerry had a unique, candid conversation that focused largely on the lighter side of the presidency.”

“It was out-of-body for me,” Seinfeld says by phone afterward. “I’m not a guy who likes honor. In fact, I hate any kind of honoring. That I get to be a comedian — that’s the honor. But this was an honor: that [Obama] was okay with me, that he trusted me to do some comedy with him in the real White House,” he told WP.

Obama really flexed his versatility while filming this episode right before his TV address on terrorism.

Sheesh.

If this episode if anything like the hilarious dry humor Obama delivers on occasion, we will definitely be tuning in.
