According to sources, Jennifer Hudson might be playing Aretha Franklin in a movie about Aretha Franklin. It has not been confirmed as of yet if Jennifer Hudson will actually be playing Aretha because the project has been in the works for years now. In fact, the Queen of Soul picked Halle Berry to play her in the biopic but that is clearly out of the picture. It has been reported that the biopic will focus around Franklin’s life in the ’60s and ’70s and her love life and dealing with abuse.
