The onetime producer of Bill Cosby’s successful 1980s sitcom is speaking out about the entertainer’s recent rape allegations.  Tom Werner told “The Hollywood Reporter” that — while “it’s a challenging time” for Cosby — he still hopes “that people will still be able to watch the show and identify with the Huxtables.”  Werner also pointed out “The Cosby Show” was “groundbreaking” since “it portrayed a middle-class African-American family in a very positive way.”  The chairman of the Boston Red Sox appeared this week at the Television Critics Association summer press tour in Beverly Hills to promote his Starz series “Survivor’s Remorse.”
