John Legend will put his touch on WGN’s upcoming drama series “Underground.” Legend and his Get Lifted production company have signed on to provide the music for the series, which revolves around a group of escaped slaves making their way north via the Underground Railroad. The crooner will also executive produce the series. “Underground” will arrive sometime next year.
Legend’s latest gig follows his Oscar win for Best Original Song for “Glory” from the Martin Luther King Jr. biopic “Selma.”
