Misty Copeland Named The 1st Black Female Principal Dancer

In it’s 75 year history, the American Ballet Theatre finally name Misty Copeland as the first black female principal dancer. Copeland, 32, first played the role of Odette/Odile in Swan Lake and now she will be getting settled into her new promotion as ABT’s Principal Dancer.
