Singer Bruno Mars plans to share the royalties with The Gap Band and Hip-Hop artist Trinidad James for his commercial hit song “Uptown funk” sampled from their “Oops Upside Your Head” and “All Gold Everything.” “Uptown Funk” was the number 1 smash hit for 14 consecutive weeks, according to sources, bringing in nearly $100,000 a week.
